[Urbex] Hunslet Mills
The image above was taken in Hunslet Mills in Leeds.
More images from here are on my Urbex blog.
History: Hunslet Mills, also known as Victoria, Atkinson and Hunslet Mills. Located on the outskirts of Leeds next to the River Aire. This victorian mill opened in the 1930’s and was in use until 1970 when it got closed. Currently the mill is under development with ‘Caddick’, the company that owns the site. The plan is to convert the old victorian mill into flats and houses.

Photography #8 - Day & Night
Early Morning in Ossett, Wakefield
I took this shot about 7:30 in Ossett, Wakefield. I was working with my Dad that day so I had a reason for getting up. I am not really a morning photographer but I really think I should be taking more shots like this as the lighting is absoloutly amazing and there are no distractions. I took 2 images for this then layered them together to make it look natural in Adobe Photoshop.
Late Night in Ossett, Wakefield
Been trying out some more long shutter shots at night on busy roads, this is 1 of 2 that I got that night. Image taken at Gowthorpe Roundabout, near Ossett, Wakefield. Taken with a Nikon D70 with tripod. Shutter speed was around 25 seconds and an apature of f/29.

Photography #7 - Goitstock Falls
I went to Goitstock Falls, Harden on the 20/10/09 and it was a pretty interesting day. It rained at first which made the walking and moving around near the water hard. From the day I got some good shots to add to my portfolio. In camera I was using around a 3-5 second shutter speed with around apeture f/20 (Nikon D70) and of course I was using a tripod. I went with my friend Rameez (check out his website here).
Check out my deviantART page for more from this day.

Photography #6 - September Rain
Yep, that’s right.. Rain has hit September here in Britain.
I think Summer has left us behind.
Street and car lights gave this a nice bokeh effect.
Camera: Nikon D70 & Macro filter

Photography #5 - Lake District
I had my first visit to the Lake District on the 8th August 2009 and it is amazing for photography. I bagged some really decent landscape shots including the one below which I titiled ‘V Shape’. The views and landscape in Cumbria is very inspiring.
As well as landscape shots I also got some architectual shots in the small town called Windermere which is also in the Lake District, Cumbria. The architecture in Windermere is very old but very fasinating. Alot of the building are black and white coloured which makes it perfect for monochrome photography. Below are some that I think are good that I got that day.
